There's nothing concrete in the Danny Manning to Wake story but this: he is expected to announce his decision on Friday morning. No one really has a clue what his decision will be, though Gary Parrish of CBS Sports says he's "leaning" towards Wake. But it's basically a rewrite of his earlier stories.

Meanwhile, in Boston, the Eagles found their man: Ohio's Jim Christian.

BC's A.D. Brad Bates, being a modern sort of guy, tweeted the news out, coincidentally on the same day New Jersey's Star-Ledger announced brutal layoffs. Time was the Star-Ledger might have had someone at the press conference. Not any more, and Bates couldn't care less.

After this winter's situation with QB Jameis Winston, FSU probably felt, institutionally, as if the danger had been handled and was over (Winston was accused of rape).

Not so fast: the feds are investigating the case as a Title IX civil rights violation. The Office Of Civil Rights will now examine every sexual assault complaint lodged at FSU for the last three years.

On Thursday, James Michael McAdoo declared for the draft. So what are his odds? NBA Draft Express lists him as the 25th pick - in the second round. NBADraft. net lists him as 47th overall.

It's a gamble to say the least. Next year, with a much deeper UNC team, he could make a better impression. But that's his choice.
