If you are inclined to be one yourself, you should probably read this review by the N&O's Joseph Neff.

Neff reminds us of a few key facts:

  • Nifong lied about having produced all the DNA evidence.
  • The lab director admitted, under oath, to conspiring to hide the DNA evidence.
  • His DNA was found in the tests just by incidental contact. Yet none of the accused, who were supposed to have viciously raped the woman,
  • managed to leave any DNA.

There are any number of things you could just as easily point to. The entire thing was a disgrace.

There comes a point - and a lot of people reached it early in this case - when you have to willfully deceive yourself to believe something. At this point, given the  conspiracy and manipulation of evidence, if you still believe this ugly fairy tale, you'll believe anything.
