We're not sure how so many people missed it, but Duke made it fairly clear early Wednesday that Jabari Parker would not be announcing as had been reported.

Still, most sites we saw suggested he'd be getting around to it. Just didn't happen that way.
Also on Wednesday night Duke had its annual banquet, where Parker won the Swett-Baylin Most Valuable Player Award, the first freshman to do so since Johnny Dawkins did it in 1983.
The other awards, including our favorite, the Dr. Deryl Hart Award (won by Amile Jefferson), are listed below.
Everything was overshadowed by the farewells between Coach K and Wojo.
Coach K said again that he had lost a brother and felt like he was losing a son as well.
Wojo replied by saying that he would always be part of Duke.
Great moment.
Wojo unfortunately lost a player this afternoon, when Ahmed Hill decommitted.
