Rice Transfer To Visit Duke

Big man is a solid rebounder and scorer.

Rice's Sean Obi, a native of Nigeria, is transferring after his freshman year. Obi is 6-9, 265, and as a freshman he averaged 11.4 ppg and 9.3 rpg.

As a Rice student, he's capable of handling work at almost any school. He's off to visit Vandy this weekend and is due to visit Duke next week.

The link above suggests he'll have an easier time getting playing time at Vandy than Duke. We don't know Vandy's situation, but that may not be fully accurate about Duke.

Whatever Jabari Parker decides, it's highly unlikely he'd stay three years. And Jahlil Okafor will be a high draft pick after his freshman year. So the frontcourt will have time available. And averaging nearly a double-double will get him time.
