Normally when guys consider a transfer, fans get a bit testy. But not in this case:

Duke's Brandon Connette is considering a transfer back to a California school in order to be closer to his ailing mother.

You may remember that she was diagnosed with a severe Stage IV brain tumor just before the Chick-Fil-A bowl.

Of course he wants to be near his mother. Everyone affiliated with Duke should honor him for that.
