Up in Syracuse, Jack McCallum has Jim Boeheim's ear - he's working on a book - and McCallum thinks Tyler Ennis is just not physically ready for the NBA. He's probably right.

In ACC coaching moves, Danny Manning has popped up on Wake's radar. It's kind of forgotten now, but Manning went to high school in Greensboro, so Wake might be pretty comfortable for him. He's only been at Tulsa for two years but has done a nice job.

Tulsa is sort of the cradle of coaches: since 1980 the school has hired Nolan Richardson, Tubby Smith, Bill Self and Doug Wojcik, who preceded Manning. He finished his first year at Charleston at 24-11.

And at BC, Jim Christian, head man at Ohio, has popped up. BC fans may feel like the search is dragging on but right now, that's probably a good thing: the coaches convention coincides with the Final Four, and getting a few hundred coaches in the same town is a great tool for a recruiting A.D.

Hey, Ben Howland is available.
