As you've probably noticed from time to time, we generally like Apple stuff. Some things though are worth looking at more closely, and that's the case with some IOS7 technology that isn't really well understood and could be useful to Cameron Crazies or Wade Wackos.

In IOS7, the Multipeer Connectivity Framework allows people to essentially do two things: 1) to create a mesh network which can either build a quick ad hoc Network or access the Internet, and 2) to have an increasingly rare bit of anonymity.

For Duke students, Multipeer Connectivity Framework and a mesh network may allow a sort of communication in Cameron or Wade which is currently not possible. As many of you know, getting any kind of connection in Cameron during a game is just about impossible. This defeats that and also allows you to set up smaller networks which could be interesting in other gyms, whether it's Greensboro or a rival ACC gym.

We don't know how it works for Android or what apps to use, but in the App Store, Fire Chat is currently free.

We'll leave it to you to imagine the possibilities, but it seems like something worth exploring.
