The Duke-UNC game this past weekend was the fourth-most viewed game all year for ESPN. Top two? Duke-Syracuse I and II.
Four of the top five involve Duke and six of the top ten.
Only three of the games were without at least one ACC team.
Coincidentally, the football-focused SEC is having serious problems with basketball egu.htmlwith crowds being as small as they've been since the Charles Barkley left Auburn for the NBA.
In the long term, the ACC's footprint is going to pay off. There just are more people on the eastern seaboard than anywhere else.
