GREENSBORO, N.C. - Atlantic Coast Conference Commissioner John Swofford announced today that Paul Brazeau has been selected to fill the position of Senior Associate Commissioner for Men's Basketball Operations.

"Paul has served the sport of basketball for over 30 years as a coach and administrator and brings a terrific background of experiences and talents to our league," said ACC Commissioner John Swofford. "I'm pleased to welcome Paul to the ACC, and I know he will serve our coaches, schools and partners well."
Brazeau's responsibilities will consist of the management and oversight of ACC Men's Basketball, including the annual men's basketball tournament, regular-season conference scheduling, liaison work with the national and regional television networks and serving as the commissioner's liaison to the league's 15 men's basketball programs.
Brazeau will join the conference office staff on April 14. He has been serving as the Senior Associate Commissioner for Men's Basketball at the American Athletic Conference. Brazeau joined the former Big East Conference in 2012 and continued in his role with the American during its inaugural 2013-14 season.
Prior to his time at the American, Brazeau spent 10 years as Vice President of Basketball Operations at the NBA, where his group served as the primary overseer of all on and off-court basketball related operations, including game guidelines and procedures, playing rules, conduct and discipline and scheduling.
In addition to his administrative experience, Brazeau has coaching experience at the Division I level. He served as an assistant coach at Boston College and Ohio State before becoming the University of Hartford head coach from 1992-2000. Brazeau earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Boston College and a MBA in Management from the Boston College School of Management.
