It's not at all surprising that Notre Dame defeated Duke in the finals of the ACC Women's Tournament. First, Notre Dame is a remarkably good team, and second, Duke is essentially playing with no guards. That's just hard to do.

Still, Duke did fairly well. Notre Dame won 69-53 and are worthy champions, so congratulations to them. At 32-0 and still familiar with UConn from their Big East wars, Notre Dame is probably the most likely team to knock off the Huskies.

Meanwhile, Duke fans should be proud of the team. Adversity is part of sports, obviously, but Duke kept working hard despite the setbacks. They won't be champions, but it's a group with a lot of heart. Here's more from GoDuke.com.
