Passings

We're sad to tell you of two losses this week. First, Dr. Chuck Warner of Charlotte. Some of you may know him either as a classmate at Duke or as a pediatrician in Charlotte. More of you will know his sons, Deryl and John, who both attended Duke undergrad and medical school. He died earlier this week, peacefully, with his family around him. If anyone would like to get in touch, drop us a line and we'll take care of it.

Secondly, we've mentioned Mr. and Mrs. James Robins from time to time as great Duke fans. This week, their oldest daughter, Mary Gwen, died suddenly and unexpectedly. She is the aunt of NC State player Staats Battle and attended Jordan High School in Durham where some of you may have known her as well.

Both were wonderful people and great losses to their families and loved ones. We don't have details yet on Mary Gwen's arrangements, but Chuck will be buried in Charlotte next Saturday.
