Well, at least the managers got to play. As you surely know, the Duke-Carolina game was postponed because of the weather, which actually isn't as bad as it could have been (at least not so far).
With a vast ice storm crippling Georgia and South Carolina, the Triangle may get off easy. But that didn't help local transportation. The main roads were a parking lot, and in many places people simply gave up and walked home. South Point Mall, just off of 40, offered itself as an emergency shelter.
So it's no great surprise that the bus Duke called for couldn't make it to campus, much less to Chapel Hill. The game has been rescheduled for February 20th - just two days before the rematch with Syracuse.
Most of us are going to go, "oh, no, that's terrible." But we're pretty sure that Coach K will tell his team something like this:
"We're really lucky because this gives us a chance to simulate final four conditions. We're going to treat this exactly like that, and not only that, we'll win both games. This can only help us."
