Weather Update: We're Most Likely Going Down

It's not going to be pretty around here.

...Truly Nasty Weather is rolling into North Carolina and for us, that likely means no power, which for you means updating DBR is going to be problematic. We're hoping the power lasts through tonight's game (does anyone else hate the phrase "Battle of the Blues," by the way?) and long enough to post. After that, at some point we expect to lose power and for some time, too.

We've made provisions to keep things updated as much as possible and as soon as the roads are passable and we can find a Wi-Fi spot, we'll turn the spigot back on. But in the short term, we're probably going down hard for a few days. Current forecasts call for a half-inch of ice and that's enough to pull down power lines, overload transformers and that's not counting the trees it'll break and drop on the lines.

As bad as it is here, it'll be far worse in Georgia and South Carolina. We'll be thinking of you guys.

Also, if anyone in Raleigh is absolutely determined to get to the Maryland game, come hell or high water, please drop us a line. We really want to go but if 40 is a sheet of ice, it won't be easy.

Love it? Hate it? Drop us a line at staff@dukebasketballreport.com and tell us about it!
