Northwestern Pulls Off Another Upset

Northwestern shocked Wisconsin, on the road no less.

Wow, break up the Wildcats: Chris Collins and his team are building a reputation quickly for upsets. Latest victim: Wisconsin. And it wasn't just a close shave either: Northwestern won by 10 on the road. That's hard to top for a sad-sack - formerly sad-sack - program like Northwestern.

Like David Cutcliffe with Duke football, Collins is making people believe. And they should: check out what the Wildcats have done recently:

  • Northwestern 49 Illinois 43
  • Northwestern 54 Indiana 47
  • Northwestern 63 Purdue 60 2 OT
  • Northwestern 65 Wisconsin 56

There were two losses to Michigan State and Iowa but not surprising ones. The wins are the surprise and, really, the birth of Collins' program. He's doing a brilliant job.
