Maryland was excited to sign Shaquille Cleare, but so far, the big man has been of little use. Will the Notre Dame game be a turning point?

On Saturday, six games and several with important consequences. Florida State and Virginia square off again, both 3-1 in the ACC. State makes a short trip to Durham in great need of a victory, but the Blue Devils had an important win over Virginia and will want to build on it. Clemson and Wake Forest tangle in Littlejohn, and Clemson has a chance to move to 4-1 in the conference.

Pitt and Syracuse, 1 and 2 in the conference, tangle in the Carrier Dome, while UNC hosts BC.
