A Bump In The Web Road

We've noticed that the trend towards paywalls has picked up recently. It's frustrating since most of us have gotten used to open sites. The Gate (from the San Francisco papers) recently reversed that and Jeff Bezos may do so at the Post. And a recent story we saw suggested that online advertising will catch TV within five years. So the models may change a lot.

In the meantime, though, we all have to make decisions about subscriptions (no one we know of is considering multiple news subscriptions) or other strategies for dealing with these issues.
