Newton has been well regarded for a while; Palmer blew up this summer and was quickly pursued by Wake Forest, Cincy and VCU among others.
Speaking of recruiting, Clemson picked up a commitment from 6-2 Gabe DeVoe of Shelby. We don't know much about his game but the kid has a 4.4 GPA! Impressive.
