Al Skinner Finds A New Gig

Al Skinner has been trying to get back into the game and he finally did it: he's now an assistant with his own former assistant Tim O' Shea, who is now the head man at Bryant.

We don't know the ins-and-outs of what happened at BC, but part of the rap on Skinner, true or not, was that he wasn't really that excited about coaching anymore and delegated most his duties. One Boston outlet claimed he spent too much time golfing to really coach.

Now 61, he may or may not be recruiting, which is what many guys ultimately dislike about coaching. He will, presumably, bring his acumen to the offense. BC was one of the more remarkable interior passing teams we've seen. Skinner still has a lot to offer.
