We don't know how much Wooden had to do with the award personally, but it seems like his touch that his wife's name comes first. That's highly unusual for anything named after an athletic figure. We're not sure we can even think of another. Wooden, of course, was famously devoted to his wife, writing her a letter or poem every day, even after she died.
Anyway, congratulations (again) to Coach K on the latest milestone in a brilliant career.
