Miami Robs The Cradle

One of the downsides of the expanded ACC is that it's harder to keep up with everyone. So we didn't hear that last week Miami offered a ninth grader a scholarship, nor that DJ Russell actually committed.

Committing in ninth grade is kind of pointless, no matter how good the kid is, because as good as he might be and as much as he might grow as a player, he won't be the same person in his junior and senior years.

So when Duke, Kentucky, UNC, Kansas and the rest come calling, we'll see how serious he is.
