Syracuse Getting Up To ACC Speed Quickly

Recently the ACC has had weird issues at Miami (the Nevin Shapiro allegations), a Twitter-induced disaster at UNC, the bizarre faux lacrosse scandal at Duke, and other relatively minor issues like Georgia Tech's NCAA problems, Wake basketball fan's revolt, and the regular riots at Maryland, soon, thankfully, a Big Ten embarrassment.

Almost-member Syracuse is going to fit right in: after the Bernie Fine weirdness, the Orange are red-faced over former sports media director Roger Springfield, who was sentenced to five years probation Thursday.

Springfield, who had locker room access to most sports, hid a camera at waist level and videotaped male genitalia.

The judge told him that the only reasons he got probation were his clean record, that he's willing to seek treatment and that he kept the videos off the Internet.
