Since Maryland's surprise move to the Big Ten, we've had a real conundrum when they play UNC: we can't really pull for UNC, but on the other hand, we're not going to pull for Maryland any time soon. We're down the line on the Terps: pay the exit fee in full? Hell yeah. Duke or UNC in Comcast this year? Hell no.
Still, it's a tough call: is it cool that the UNC women's lacrosse team beat Maryland for the national title in a heartbreaking fashion? Well, put it this way: we wouldn't have pulled for them going in, but cutting the beating heart out of a Terrapin team? We can live with that.
