Allen To Duke (Updated)

We didn't have time to post much on Grayson Allen's commitment Wednesday afternoon, so forgive us for catching up a bit.

Allen, who to the best of our recollection will be the second ACC guard named Grayson (after Clemson's Grayson Marshall, an at-times spectacular point guard), is a 6-4 junior who averaged 19.3 ppg. last season.

Dave Telep's comments are behind a firewall, so we won't link to them, but he does tell us that Allen has a 4.0 GPA and is athletic, smart, and widely respected by coaches who have recruited him.

Moreover, Duke has always been his dream school.

Duke beat out Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Miami, N.C. State, Purdue and Texas.

Here's a bit of video. There's a lot of good stuff here, including what appears to be a fine shooting touch, but the coolest part is the blocked shot. That's very impressive.
