Chris Collins has made another hire at Northwestern, taking on current Sixers assistant Brian James. Though James has been in the NBA for 13 years, prior to that he coached Collins in high school. Obviously Collins knows him well and that's always a plus. James brings extensive knowledge from his NBA tour of duty which should help in recruiting too.
Depending on what the younger Collins wants, that may not be the only Sixers hire: father Doug has apparently informed the team that he'll be stepping down after the last two games of the season. He has said previously that his dream job would be as an assistant to his son.
