We've been aware of Mental Floss for some time, but since we started using Zyte on the iPad, it's become ridiculously addictive. It's a great site; we can't say enough good things about it. Nothing there is essential except to the curious mind.
It started at Duke, it's run by Dukies, and it's up for a Webby. That's all gravy: we'd read it it was done by three UNC guys with postgrad degrees from Kentucky.
