The Sneakers-2-Succeed campaign (S²) is a year-long campaign that will collect new or gently used sneakers for children in need throughout the United States. The sneakers collected at this event will be donated to homeless children in Durham.
Thanks to the partnership with Duke University Men's Basketball program, drop-off bins will be set up along the entrance of Cameron Indoor prior to tip-off on Saturday, March 2nd. A half-time presentation will take place of the collected sneakers along with any monetary donations thanks to the support of local businesses.
"It was only natural that we would partner up with Duke University and bring forth the Sneakers-2-Succeed campaign to Durham", said Chris Duhon. "Duke means a lot to me, and I am so grateful that we can all team up to help these children in need."
The (S²) campaign will continue its effort every month thereafter in the following states: New York, New Jersey and Florida and just recently completed California and Indiana.
