Kentucky, always keenly interested in beating Duke in anything since Christian Laettner's epic dagger in 1992, put 23,000 people in the stands but the Wildcats still lost, 69-61.

Tricia Liston had 28 to pace Duke. To add to the torment, she wears Laettner's #32.
