Johnny D, Stanford Get Huge Win

Johnny Dawkins got some mention at the beginning of the season as a guy who might be on the hot seat.

So far, though, so good for Stanford: with a critical upset of UConn, the Cardinal are 8-2.

Coach K might give Dawkins, his first Duke star, a hard time for running a 2-3 zone on UConn, but Stanford held the Huskies to just 13 points in the second half.

Next up for Stanford is Michigan in Brooklyn on December 21st. Win that one, and Stanford will be perceived differently.
