How Former Duke Assistants Are Doing This Season

With two new coaches in the ranks, how are K's former assistants looking?

USA TODAY Sports

It's seems like a good time to take a quick look at how former Duke assistants are doing. Everyone is over .500 except for Chris Collins, who is at 5-5.

Coach School Record
Tommy Amaker Harvard 9-1
Johnny Dawkins Stanford 7-2
Mike Brey Notre Dame 8-3
Bobby Hurley Buffalo 4-3
Chris Collins Northwestern 5-5

Collins lost to Stanford and Johnny Dawkins and also to Illinois State, Missouri, by just nine, UCLA and NC State. Give him credit for playing tough teams though.

At Buffalo, new coach Bobby Hurley lost his first two then won four straight before losing to Canisius.

At Stanford, Dawkins has lost to BYU and Pitt, but beaten Northwestern, Houston and San Diego State. UConn is on the schedule for this week, followed by Michigan.

Tommy Amaker has led Harvard to a 9-1 record, with the sole loss being to Colorado. Harvard has played a mostly New England-centric schedule which limits the number of tough opponents available.

As new ACC members, we've covered Notre Dame extensively elsewhere on the site, including today's ACC Roundup, so we won't repeat that here.

Also, if we've failed to list anyone, please remind us and we'll update this.
