Cutcliffe Honored Again

The awards keep rolling in for Duke, Cutcliffe

Mark Dolejs-USA TODAY Sports

It's been a tremendous year for Duke's David Cutcliffe and Friday he added to the haul as a co-winner of the Sporting News National Coach Of The Year (Auburn's Gus Malzahn was also honored). We can appreciate the desire to honor Malzahn. Alabama has been the 500 lb. gorilla of college football for a good bit and knocking them out of the national title hunt is a remarkable achievement.

Incidentally, Texas, which had been pursuing 'Bama's Nick Saban won't get him as the Tide locked Saban up Friday, likely for the rest of his career. But there are concerns in Tiger Town that Texas might pursue Dabo Swinney.
