Not surprisingly, the cheating scandal at Harvard has caused much soul searching. The Ivy League of course stepped away from big time college sports in 1945 when the schools signed the Ivy Group Agreement banning athletic scholarships. Tommy Amaker's stunning success has impressed many and led to a surge of interest in the basketball team; the scandal has taken some of that away.
