For those of you who are space buffs, we hope you are following the Curiosity mission to Mars. NASA put together a very compelling simulation of the approach and landing which, if you haven't seen, you should check out.
The whole concept is pretty slick, and perhaps slickest of all is that they managed to coordinate between the launch and a journey of millions of miles and a satellite in orbit around Mars which they planned to use for monitoring the landing and communications.
The vehicle looks to be much more rugged and capable than the two recent travelers on the Red Planet. The photos should be spectacular. They'll be black and white for a day or two and then the color should kick in.
