Mark Gottfried is still new to the ACC, so he might not understand that he made a mistake when he said this about the ACC's new scheduling to accomodate an 18-game season: "I traded Virginia Tech for Duke twice and Clemson for Florida State twice. TV looked at our team and thought we'd be good.''
The home-and-homes won't be easy; now the one-offs won't be either because that quote will be clipped - already is, most likely - and left in the respective locker rooms.
However, he is fundamentally correct: the new scheduling could be problematic.
