State's had a couple of surprising transfers - well at least one.
Jaqawn Raymond didn't really play this year and is no great loss. DeShawn Painter, on the other hand, became a pretty solid player for State and carried them through the times when CJ Leslie and Richard Howell were riddled with fouls.
Painter says he's transferring to be closer to his sick mother.
Logically, that should make his short list something like Norfolk State, Old Dominion and Hampton.
If he stretches his definition of close a bit, VCU is a couple of hours away.
