Wake Forest's Jeff Bzdelik is trying to rebuild his program, but the effort took a major hit Friday when Carson Desrosiers and Anthony Fields announced they would be transferring.
This was just days after point guard Tony Chennault left.
That puts them down to four scholarship players returning and six kids coming in.
Fields is not a big loss at this point, but Desrosiers has showed promise.
More importantly, since taking over, Bzdelik has seen, what six players leave? Some were a positive loss and Tony Wood had to go after his arrest and assault charges.
Still, Wake is not in a good spot. If their freshmen don't come through, Bzdelik will have gone three seasons with little to show. And the fans will be restless, not least of all with State's sudden resurgence. From their point of view, it's the Big Three and the Little We.
