If you haven't read it, you really should read the Sports Illustrated story about Ben Howland's UCLA program. It's terribly unflattering but much of it is confirmed by some of the principals, including Reeves Nelson. You have to give him some credit for understanding what a jerk he's been, but still: who acts like that? And who puts up with it? It's unreal.
It may well affect their recruitment of Shabazz Muhammad, but on that front, the NCAA has some concerns about people around him who may have provided what they consider to be illicit benefits. Muhammad is still looking at Duke, UCLA, Kansas, Kentucky, UNLV, and Southern Cal. After a visit to Lawrence, his dad raved about the KU program, but there is a long way to go in his recruitment and obviously some potential complications.
