No great surprise in this day and age, but Jabari Parker is getting an earful on Twitter about his decision to attend Duke, at least some of which apparently come from UNC fans.

âThe Fanâs Guide is the essential source for Duke basketball fans in 2012. It is packed with brilliant analysis and writing by the ACCâs most astute basketball writers. I have not enjoyed any reading as much this season.â Professor Walter Manley, II
âIf you love NCSU Athletics this is a must read, I will buy it every year, very thorough and precise.â Richard Mark Hunt
I was just glad to find a magazine about Duke basketball. I thoroughly enjoyed the magazine. It was well written and very informative. A must read for any diehard Duke fan.Camille H
"I get excited enough about basketball season as it is, but this Guide has been on my screen for weeks now and I'm more excited than ever. Not just about Duke, but the whole league. There are some truly unique and remarkable stats in this book, enough to make you just itch for the games to begin and see how the players do this year. I think my favorite article is the one on athletes and social media, though. I've read it three times already! Great photos, great writing, and lots of both. This is essential. " PlanBee

We'd like to take the opportunity to remind Duke fans that nothing good comes of slamming people on Twitter or Facebook or bulletin boards.
Aside from the fact that you're blasting 17-year-olds, you're causing collateral damage to your own interests.
Also, here's a look at the prospective rivalry between future UNC star Isaiah Hicks and Duke's Parker.
By the way, while we're thinking about it, there is a bit of a meme floating around that Parker is Duke's biggest recruit ever, or at least K's. Not to slight Jabari, but we're not sure about that.
Danny Ferry was huge coming out of high school and UNC and Duke had an epic battle to get his services. Although he got to Duke a few years before Coach K, Gene Banks was ranked #1 or #2 in his class, more or less in a trio with Albert King (Maryland) and Magic Johnson (Michigan State).
