How else can you explain the Tar Heels falling behind by 29 points? Butler is very good, but they're not 29 points better than UNC.

But to UNC's credit, they very nearly pulled off an amazing comeback, cutting the lead to just six with 1:02 to go. Butler was tough enough to hold on though, so UNC will be playing Chaminade, not exactly what they had in mind when they booked the tournament.

Butler held UNC to 31.8% from three point range and 42.9% from the floor overall.

UNC had 15 turnovers in a performance which left Roy Williams fuming and all but calling his players wussies.

Look out Chaminade. It won't be pretty.

Adding insult to injury, the game isn't even on ESPN3.

Virginia moved to 4-2 with the win over North Texas, not that their should have been any question about the outcome.

Tony Bennett spent part of the press conference singing the praises of his freshmen, and in particular their grasp of the pack-line defense.

Rookies Justin Anderson, Evan Nolte and Teven Jones led the way offensively with 14, 13 and 13 respectively.

In College Park, Maryland survived Lafayette by 11.

Aside from UNC's date with Chaminade, BC takes on 2-2 Auburn, a team which has been defeated by Murray State and Dayton, while beating IPFW, whoever that is, and College Of Charleston, narrowly. It's an interesting game for them. Florida State plays North Florida and if North Florida wins we'll be very surprised.
