The ACC revealed Wednesday how they would deal with a 15-team league and scheduling. Football will remain at eight games, while basketball will go back to two primary partners. Duke's will be UNC and Wake; Wake's will be Duke and UNC; UNC gets Duke and State and State gets UNC and Wake. We're very pleased that the conference at least paired most teams geographically or when they couldn't with an eye towards older rivalries (Georgia Tech and Notre Dame) or promising newer ones (Maryland and Pitt).

By the way, Maryland fans are upset that their rivalry with Duke is being ratcheted back, but it was never as much of a rivalry for Duke as it was for the Terps. When Wake recovers, that'll be a far more interesting rivalry.
