It's been awhile since a Duke-UNC football game has drawn much attention, because both have generally been mediocre, Duke more so than UNC. But both.
Not this year. Both teams have revved up their offenses and are showing signs that they may be ready to really achieve in football. Basketball - women's and men's - is a given. But football?

Not so much.
Years ago that was where the rivalry started though. But it was nothing like today. There is an old picture in the Duke archives of some UNC students who came over to wish Duke well as they took off for a bowl game in the black and white era, maybe the late '30s.
