Remember Nigel Munson? We barely did, to be honest. He was at Virginia Tech a few years ago, off to a nice start, and like Gus Gilchrist, who never enrolled, was terrified by the 2007 shooting spree. He went to work for a time and sorted out his priorities before deciding to try college again.
Munson went back to D-II UDC, where he's had a major impact. He's 25 now and unlikely to be drafted or to make the NBA, but he might still make a good living overseas for a decade or more. And nicely, after everything he went through emotionally, he's rediscovered a love for basketball.
