Potentially a tough break for Mike Brey and Notre Dame as recruit Eric Katenda suffered a freak accident and may be permanently blind in his left eye.
Brey and Notre Dame, as we would have expected, will honor his scholarship. For his part, while Katenda's doctors say they can do nothing, he says he has no doubt he'll play again.
After this injury and of course Jon Scheyer's, perhaps it's come to the point where people should consider wearing goggles pre-emptively.
