Turgeon On Depth, Tech Hit Too

If you buy something from an SB Nation link, Vox Media may earn a commission. See our ethics statement.

Mark Turgeon is up against it now and he knows it: with the transfer of Haukur Palsson, the Terps are down to four guards and three forwards, and a little-used center. He's adding some walk-ons, but Maryland's probably in for a long season.

Then again, a new coach means new opportunities for everyone, and someone -- Pe’Shon Howard maybe -- could emerge as a star.  But it's not going to be easy.

Speaking of depth, Georgia Tech has a short-term problem as Jason Morris has a broken toe. He should be ready to go in September though.
