We don't know exactly what happened at Miami, obviously, but most of it centered around the football team. The exception is the notion that the basketball staff allegedly got $10,000 from Nevin Shapiro to get DeQuan Jones, but as Gary Parrish points out, if it did happen, Frank Haith never touched the money himself and made sure (again allegedly) that it was strictly a cash deal. It would be very difficult to prove the allegations, even under the minimal NCAA standards, which are not the sort of standards every American expects or at least hopes for in court.
Incidentally, here's Steve Spurrier's take.
