At the very least this could be a PR nightmare for Wake Forest and possibly more: a former student is apparently going to go on the Today Show Thursday and allege that she was raped by two former players the night before the Cleveland State game in the 2009 NCAA Tournament.
As we learned in the lacrosse case, allegations don't necessarily translate into guilt, but as we also learned, even baseless accusations can take on a life of their own.  If this story holds up, whatever the truth is, we hope that Wake Forest will pursue it aggressively.
