As you've probably noticed, we have been impressed with Mark Turgeon's hire at Maryland and the subsequent whirlwind of energy he has unleashed.
After making the AAU rounds and meeting and greeting people in Baltimore, he got his first commitment from junior Seth Allen, and is close to hiring assistant Delonte Hill away from Kansas State.
Hill, who makes a stunning $423,750 base salary at Kansas State, will help to beef up recruiting efforts in the DMV region. It looks like his staff will fill out with Hill, Gary Williams holdover Bino Ranson and Texas A&M Scott Spinelli.
He has a lot to prove yet, but there's no question that his approach is different, and we're guessing Maryland fans like it.
