Duke's Michael Gillespie is a guy who has participated in sports (high school & college basketball) and long been interested in more than just the scores. We haven't had a chance to finish his latest essay yet, but he's tying a lot of things together in a provocative way. We'd sort of like to put him in an intellectual cage match with Murray Sperber just to see what would come out of it.
