ESPN's recruiting page has been suggesting for a few days that Duke might have gotten into the mix for DeAndre Daniels (6-8/195), who is from California but playing currently for IMG Academy, where the basketball director is former Devil Andy Borman also Coach K's nephew, and the director of basketball operations is Greg Spatola, brother of Coach K's son-in-law and the director of basketball operations for the Devils.
We figured we'd see what happened there, but now Kyrie Irving has said this:
"I think we have five recruits coming in with the addition of DeAndre Daniels. That's five recruits. So that would be really special."
Obviously he can't speak for Daniels, but it's an intriguing slip, if that's what it is.
