Now look: we think Jim Larranaga is a tremendous coach, and he would do well at Miami or anywhere else, and Miami is clearly interested.
But is it wise to build your program around a coach who is 61? Miami's normal retirement age is 65. Presumably he could coach longer, but how much longer? Maybe 10 years?
He's built a great program at George Mason. Seems like it'd be better to see it through rather than start over at this point.
