Looks like there's a chance that Shane Battier could end up a Celtic: with an expiring contract and a desire to rebuild, the Rockets may be ready to deal, and the Celtics could use a smart veteran defender.
In many ways, it could be a perfect fit for Battier. He's an immensely resourceful guy who can make players around him better, and that can only help Boston.
Also, in the big trade news, Carmelo Anthony looks to be be heading to the Knicks. The trade apparently will send Wilson Chandler, Raymond Felton, Danilo Gallinari, Timofey Mozgov and a 2014 first-round draft pick to Denver in exchange for former Duke great Shelden Williams, Chauncey Billups, Anthony Carter and Renaldo Balkman, who will be returning to New York for a second tour of duty.
On top of that, New York finally gets rid of Eddy Curry, shipping him off to Minnesota in exchange for Corey Brewer.
